About Us

Australiana Tours is founded by the unbelievably good looking and shockingly tall (5"8), Conner Bethune. A good ol'country boy from the heart of Victoria's goldfields (think endless paddocks and a lot of kangaroos).​

 

Conner went on to study international relations and law at university.​ In 2016, he had the adventure of a lifetime as a contestant on Season One of Australian Survivor (no he didn't win, it's a sore spot).

 

Afterward, Conner spent several years working in Canberra in economic policy and then foreign affairs. 

​

After making the move to the big apple (Sydney), Conner noticed that despite Australian history being incredibly interesting, not many Australians knew about it! Nor is it well taught at school! All the interesting parts appear to be completely missing.

​So why is a guy from Victoria, doing a walking tour of Sydney, huh?! Who does he think he is?! Well, growing up in the middle of nowhere gave Conner a lot of reading time, and he loved history. 

​

So as a result he knows everything that has happened in the past, and that which has yet to come to pass. No not really, but he really likes Australian History and has spent a year researching and writing his free Sydney history tour on that basis.
